Thomas Ashton Institute for Risk and Regulatory Research

Industrial application case scenario (risk, exposure, hazard related to graphene based materials)

Associated members of the Thomas Ashton Institute from the School of Health Sciences, Faculty of Biology, Medicine and Health, including Dr Cyrill Bussy and Professor Martie van Tongeren were invited to take part in an interactive workshop at the Graphene Engineering and Innovation Centre (GEIC), at The University of Manchester, on the 3 October.

A panel of experts from different universities ( University of Manchester, Swansea University), the  Health and Safety Executive, Industry and the GEIC were gathered to reflect on a scenario of possible occupational exposure to graphene based materials.

Details of the outcomes and conclusions of the workshop will be communicated at a later stage.
